Troy tries to take the boys on a Father/Son trip every year. This year we didn't squeeze it into our summer vacation. So, since Troy had to take the plane in for maintenance to San Antonio and had no passengers, we thought this would be a great father/son trip for him and the boys. We got them out of school at lunch and they headed to San Antonio. Just so happens, Christian is studying the Alamo in class, so it is an educational trip as well They went on a river tour and went to the Alamo- but it had closed for the night. They will go back tomorrow when it opens, and then they will head home. (It is just a tad lonely here at the house - ALL BY MYSELF - that hasn't happened for YEARS)!

I'm sure Christian will be highly disappointed in the Alamo after he sees it. I was! Here we study about this huge fort but now it's just been built up all around the place and only one building remains. Lonely???....Girl, enjoy it! I haven't been alone in my house since before Will was born!
