Christian's friend Marshall went trick or treating with us 2nite. Christian is the WereWolf, Carson is the Grim Reaper a Marshall was Steve Erkell of Family Matters. We had a blast with all the ghost and goblins roaming the streets! Took this pic at the trunk or treat in Red Lick. It was our first stop! The masks soon came off as it was hard for them 2 see. I'll know better next year!

latest news
We finally have a place in Alpine! We are renting a two story, 2000 sq ft duplex! We will only be a few blocks from the elementary school. I have started packing a little and also planning a moving sale November 8th.

The boys had fall festival last night and had a great time playing games and visiting with friends! Christian received an award for commended performance on the TAKS test Spring 2008. AWESOME!!!
Fall ball came to a close yesterday. We had a great season. We won most of our league games and went to a select tournament, where we played some good ball. The parents played the boys in our last practice and I am still paying for it. Christian will continue to practice with them until our big move. Keeps us busy...and I get some time with friends:) We love our TIGERS!!!
Troy is doing good in Georgia. We are planning on meeting in Mandeville LA @ Kim and Shea's for thanksgiving.

MOVING
Just a note to catch everyone up on our status. Some of you know that Troy put in his application for a "new job". We have been notified and Troy leaves in a few weeks for West Texas to take a job with the Department of Homeland Security. He will be flying for the Customs and Border Protection, patrolling the border near Big Bend National Park. We will be living in or near Alpine, Texas. Where the heck is Alpine??? (I thought the same thing! LOL) It is 670.66 miles southwest of Texarkana. Alpine sits in the foothills of the Davis Mountians - in The Texas Rockies.

The Boys and I will make the move late December. Troy will be in school for most of the time until then, so we will stay put here in Texarkana until we can all be together in our new surroundings.
We will miss all our friends and hope that if you find yourself in west Texas, you will look us up. We would love to see familiar faces:)

Father and Son trip

Troy tries to take the boys on a Father/Son trip every year. This year we didn't squeeze it into our summer vacation. So, since Troy had to take the plane in for maintenance to San Antonio and had no passengers, we thought this would be a great father/son trip for him and the boys. We got them out of school at lunch and they headed to San Antonio. Just so happens, Christian is studying the Alamo in class, so it is an educational trip as well They went on a river tour and went to the Alamo- but it had closed for the night. They will go back tomorrow when it opens, and then they will head home. (It is just a tad lonely here at the house - ALL BY MYSELF - that hasn't happened for YEARS)!

Crash, Boom, BANG!
Yesterday, Carson was riding his bike and as he was turning into the driveway, his tires started sliding. The front wheel got caught in the cattle guard and sent him down. His poor little mouth hit the cattle guard and knocked out a front tooth and the tooth beside it. ROOTS and ALL. Rushed him the Dentist then we went to have a split in his lip glued. We found the teeth when we got home, and stuck them under the pillow. The tooth fairy came and dropped off five dollar bill:) He is proud of his battle wounds as he showed his mouth off when we picked up Christian at school ( we kept him home on meds today).

!st Day of School
Today Christian and Carson went to their 1st day of 4th grade and Kindergarten. Can't believe Christian is in the FOURTH GRADE!!!! They hated me taking the pics - especially the ones at school. It is now too embarrassing for Christian - Carson could care less. Troy went with Christian while I helped Mrs Stueber put away all the school supplies in K. Glad they are back in school, now when I clean house, it will stay clean for a while!

MODELs for a day
The annual Back to School Fashion Show at the local mall was this past weekend. I talked/bribed the boys into giving it a try. Long story short - a new store opened in the mall. I went in and the owner was telling me about the store and all they are offering for kids. So I signed the sheet to be called when they offer some of the classes. I got a call for them to model in the back to school fashion show - which enrolled them in the modeling school she is starting. Well, I had to do some talking and bribing. I finally got them to agree to go to a couple of classes and do the fashion show. I think they enjoyed themselves and are considering going back! Who would have thought?????
