Hail Hail and more Hail

The weather here in West Texas is pounding Alpine with hail.    The first night was just a little here and there.  The second night it was pea size to golf ball size for about 30 minutes.  Last night it was pea size but LOTS of it for about 30 minutes!
.
This is all the hail that rolled off the roof!

Balmorhea State Park

This weekend the Ballards went camping with our friends Justin, Lindsey, Trace, Clayton, and Jake Edminston.  We drove to Balmorhea, Texas - just an hour drive from Alpine.  It is an Oasis in the middle of a desert.  The state park has a natural spring fed swimming pool where about 25 million gallons of water flow thru each day.  The boys all stayed in tents while Lindsey and I stayed in the cabin :)  - my kind of camping!

Mother's Day Tea

As I approached the Carson's class, Carson was waiting outside to escort me into the room.  He told me to sit at his desk which was covered and decorated.  He took the plates and served me a cookie and some strawberries.  He then gathered the cups and took them to Ms Hernandez to fill with tea.  During the tea, we saw a slideshow of pics and listened to the kids recorded message on their moms.  He also made me a large card and  flower arrangement with the candle.  It was a very nice tea!  Thank you Carson for a great Mothers Day tea!

PS
We are going to BALMORHEA, Texas  this weekend with friends and Carson will be getting a short haircut as well!  Tired of the long mess!  more pics and blog to come!
